Kuma cafe, the new boba tea place on 4th street, San Rafael. I have tried the Thai tea with boba, the brown sugar milk tea, the lychee, dragon fruit tea, the hibiscus tea with aloe vera jelly and everything was great! Oh, and my favorite is mango and strawberry kakigori (Japanese shaved ice dessert). The ice is so light and goes well with mango and strawberry. They also have warm drinks if you don’t want to have cold stuff. And just last week, I stopped by and they started to have poke bowl. I got some for me and ma family and they tasted fresh and yummy! Kuma cafe is a great addition to downtown San Rafael.

Their boba is absolutely incredible. Very soft and the perfect sweetness. I have been to a lot of boba spots in the bay area and most are awful and I never return (except asha tea house) I have only been once and the milk tea I chose was not good, notably because I accidentally thought I was ordering hojicha without milk, which was my mistake (it is not good with milk). I will report back when I'm able to ask if there's a way to get it without milk! The tuna poke I thought was pretty tasty and fun to have so much choice.

This place is incredible. All the drinks are made to perfection. The presentation of the drinks is also amazing, the perfect aesthetic drink. An incredible amount of variety, everything from shaved ice to coffee drinks. The staff is very nice and welcoming, making sure every customer is taken care of. They offer a good range of food as well, poke bowls, sweets, spam musubi (personal fav), and other small bites. They even heat up your small bites for you. Atmosphere is relaxing with small tables for two, relaxing music, and clean environment. Highly reccomend!

I love having Kuma in the neighborhood! They have a great variety of drinks, and everything I have tried has been delicious (and so cute-- they put a smile on my face on the sweltering hot days this summer). Before Kuma, I never really had fruit drinks at boba places but now I have done a total 180 on them. The fruit flavored popping and fresh juices are so refreshing! I'm also glad that they have poke bowls and other snacks. Bonus: Their market up the street is a great thing to have in town for getting more Japanese drinks and snacks. So glad to have them in Marin county!
